UK Tour Round 3 - Iveys Contest Results
The 3rd round of the Skim UK/Sandskater tour series took place last weekend in almost perfect conditions at Mother Iveys Bay near Padstow.
There was some worry about the wind which was crosshore, but as predicted it dropped throughout the day, leaving near ideal conditions to have a skim contest.
The beach was the steepest its been in a long time, and the chest high waves were easily reachable, but you did have to get your timing spot on to make the best of it.
Thanks to everybody that supported the event, especially the Welsh guys which made the long trip down from south Wales to compete.
A special mention goes to Nathaniel James, who was the youngest competitor at just 11 years old - many of the waves were over his head, but still he charged the heaving Iveys shorebreak with no fear! Good on yer!
