The Skim UK association has been formed to help promote skimboarding in the United Kingdom by raising the profile of the sport through competitive skimboarding contests, regular UK road trips, and occasional Euro road trips to places like France and Portugal.

Skim UK is run as a not for profit organisation, and the annual accounts will be open for inspection by any paid up member of the club.

By joining the association, your membership will make you eligible to enter contests organised by Skim UK, and participate in the road trips. It will also entitle you to member’s discounts at Sandskater and you will receive a monthly newsletter keeping you up to date on the whole UK skim scene.

Most importantly membership gives you the added piece of mind of civil liability insurance up to the value of £5 million.

Skim UK will hold committee meetings every few months where members are welcome to put their views or ideas to the committee. If you can’t make it to the meetings feel free to contact any committee member who will raise the point on your behalf.

Everybody involved with Skim UK would like to take this opportunity to thank you for joining the association. With your support we will be able to take skimboarding in the UK to a new level, and provide legitimacy to this fledgling sport.

Matt has been skimboarding since 1989, and is the owner of Sandskater, the UK’s only specialist skimboard shop

Matt has been closely involved with the UK skimboarding scene since the summer of 2001 and is re-knowned for his “Postie Flips” on his skimboard!

Treasuer: Lee Wright
For over 2 years now, Lee has been involved with skimboarding in a capacity of “cameraman”. Always the one to take pictures and shoot some video, he has provided some fantastic media to the UK skim scene.

Social Secretary: Chris Danby
Chris has been skimming for around 2 years now, and is keen to get involved with the future direction of UK Skimboarding.
