The latest round of the Skim UK Tour at Lands End has been cancelled due to lack of interest.
It is a real shame that we have had to do this is as the previous 2 contests were great. Skim UK has been struggling to find enough entrants to make this contest viable, despite the feedback from competitors that more contests are wanted.
Instead, there will be a series of non competitive skim jam’s held over the summer months to try and re-gain some interest. Then in September/October we’ll capitalise on the interest at the Skim Fest and schedule a contest just after the fest in September/October.
So the tour will now conclude in the autumn.

The scheduled Skim UK Tour contest at Lands End on the 29/30 March has been postponed due to weather/wind.

But you will need to be a Skim UK member to be able to compete.

The 3rd round of the Skim UK/Sandskater tour series took place last weekend in almost perfect conditions at Mother Iveys Bay near Padstow.
There was some worry about the wind which was crosshore, but as predicted it dropped throughout the day, leaving near ideal conditions to have a skim contest.

Round 2 of the Skim UK/Sandskater Skim Tour will be held at Boscombe Pier in Bournemouth at the end of December.
The dates have been chosen to try and get maximum turnout as most people will be on holiday around the Christmas/New Year period.

A great turnout, and a nice relaxed atmosphere made the first event of the UK tour series a real stunner.
1-2ft glassy waves, and an ideal slope on the beach ment that all competitors got some great rides.

Skim UK is proud to announce a 5 event tour which will take in many of the top skimboarding spots in the south and south west of the UK.
The series will be held over the 2007/2008 winter period and each event will test different skills needed to be an all round skimboarder. Each contest will be held as an open format, meaning there will not be any age divisions. At the end of the series a tour winner will be crowned!
